OBITUARY- CONCETTO GIUFFRIDA

NASHUA- Concetto Giuffrida, 86, died peacefully, Monday morning, September 25, 2017 at Greenbriar Healthcare in Nashua. He was the beloved husband of Annette Violia (Chamberland) of Nashua, who predeceased him on November 27, 2010.

Concetto was born on Febraury 3, 1931 in Lawrence, MA and was the son of the late Francesco Giuffrida and Sylvia (Indurre) Giuffrida. He attended Lawrence High School and then continued to proudly serve his country during the Korean War in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the State of Massachusetts and worked in an administrative position at a rehabilitation facility.

In his free time, he thoroughly enjoyed the stock market and spent much of his time buying, trading, and selling in it. He loved to eat good food but above all he truly loved his family, especially his children. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by them.

Concetto is survived by his five children, Frank Giuffrida and his wife Diane of Windham, Joel Giuffrida and his wife Shelly of Hudson, Anthony Giuffrida of Lake Tahoe, NV, Perry Giuffrida of Hudson, and Christina Bennett and her husband Steven of Hudson. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, and Gina; Jennifer, Anthony, Michael, Jared, and Alex, Ashely and Andrea, his seven great-grandchildren; Jack, Michael, Mia, Gianna, Emily, Colby, and Ava ; his two sisters, Maryann Kapinos of Florida and Sylvia Gawrys and her husband Ed of Florida.

In addition to his wife and parents, Concetto was predeceased by his granddaughter Jessica Giuffrida.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Concetto’s name to the Hurricane Relief Fund, American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
