Edith E. (Brear) Hanson

Edith Hanson age 96 peacefully passed away on March 11, 2017 at her home
in Nashua NH surrounded by her family.
Edith was born in Lawrence, Ma on May 2, 1920 the daughter of George and Edith Brear. Edith is the last of her generation.
Edith and her husband Henry Hanson, lived in Lowell, Ma until they relocated to Nashua 30 years ago when their son, Bruce built a home adjoining his own for their retirement.
Edith worked as an LNA at the Willow Manner nursing home in Lowell, Ma until she retired in 1998 to work at the family owned and run restaurant The Pine St Eatery in Nashua, NH as the hostess and Goodwill Ambassador until she retired from there in 2013. Edith also volunteered at the St Joseph Adult Day Care in Nashua NH for several years.
Edith lost the love of her life when her husband Henry passed away in October 2015.
Edith is survived by her son Bruce Hanson and Marianne of Nashua NH, her daughter Sandra Martin of Groton Ma, and a dear friend Donna Demers of Nashua NH.
She was also the mother of the late Robert Jones, Carol Belanger, William Hanson and Kevin Hanson, and 3 grandchildren Zachary Hanson, Rebekah Sanders and Sandra Jones.
She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Matthew Sanders, David Martin, Rocky Hanson, Mandi Sawyer, Jessi Osborne and Jacob Hanson as well as 10 great-grand children and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday March 15, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH.  Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday March 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
