Edward M. Southern

Edward M. Southern, 87, died peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Chicago, IL on August 22, 1929 and was the son of the late Myles and Eileen (Nichols) Southern. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  Edward was the widower of Grace (Marion) Southern who died March 23, 1995.

For many years, Edward had been employed as a military liaison specialist with Federal Aviation Administration.

He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 483, the Nashua Lodge of Elks #720, American Legion Post #48 and the National Association of Retired Federal Authorities #1540.

Edward is survived by his three sons, Thomas Southern and his wife Kathleen of Peabody, MA, William Southern of Nashua and Edward Southern and his wife Erin of Nashua; seven grandchildren, Stacie, Sydney, Thomas, Jennifer Bowley and her husband Christopher, Meghan, Charles and Emma; six greatgrandchildren, Lilly, Leah, Avery, Mia, Summer and Autumn.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on TUESDAY, June 13th from 4 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on WEDNESDAY June 14, 2017 in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Rd., Nashua at 11:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
