Eugene F. Harp

BEDFORD—Eugene F. Harp, 91, died peacefully Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and  was surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Gladys (Shrosbree) Harp.

Eugene was born in Brand Beach, NJ on September 17, 1925. He is the son of the late Harry and Mary (Murphy) Harp.

He proudly served his country during the WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War in the United States Navy until he retired and was honorably discharged in 1968.

Eugene was a member of the FRA, Branch #031 and loved trains. Above all his most cherished time was spent with his loving family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Eugene Harp Jr., John Harp and Stephanie of Merrimack, Constance Harp of Nashua, , and Jane White of Nashua; his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two step-daughters,  Arlene Smith and Newman of Mississippi, and Donna Discordia of Nashua; his four step-sons, William Discordia and Cathy of Mystic, CT, Ralph Discordia and  Jay of Orlando, FL, David Discordia and Paula of Nashua, and Michael Discordia and Lynn of Buckhead, GA; his 15 step-grandchildren and 12 step great-grandchildren; as well as his brother James Harp and Shirley of Virginia and his sister Claire Campbell of Virginia.

Calling hours will be held on THURSDAY, February 23rd from 11 AM until noon at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His burial will follow in New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
