OBITUARY – FLORENCE MARY (GAMACHE) LEVEILLE

NASHUA- Florence Mary (Gamache) Leveille, 94, died peacefully Monday morning, September 25, 2017 at Nashua Crossing, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Raymond Leveille who predeceased her in January of 2006.

Florence was born in Nashua NH on November 23, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Leo A. and Ida (Jean) Gamache. She attended and graduated from Nashua High School in 1941 and continued her education and attended Nashua Business College.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Doehla Greeting Cards as an executive secretary for many years.

In her free time, she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, the Hudson Historical Society, and the American Legion, Post 48. She also enjoyed her time spent at the Nashua and Hudson Senior Center and was a member of AARP.

Florence is survived by her sister, Theresa Malone and her husband Charles of Nashua NH; her god child and guardian Sandra Lussier and her husband Armand of Pelham NH, and god child Julianna Allard and her husband Robert of Farmville, NC;  she is also survived by two sisters in law, Mary Gamache of Sherburne Falls, MA, and Natalie Gamache of Lomita CA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Leo Gamache, Alfred Gamache, George Gamache, Edward Gamache, Rita Gamache, and Cecile Desjardins.

Florence’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Nashua Crossing and Compassus Hospice Care of their exceptional care provided to Florence during her time there.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on THURSDAY, Sept. 28th from 6 until 8 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsely Street, Nashua.

Her graveside service will take place on FRIDAY, Sept. 29th at 10:30 AM in St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis Street, Nashua, NH.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Florence’s name to either Nashua Crossing, 674 W. Hollis Street, Nashua, NH 03062 or to Compassus Hospice Care, 170 South River Road, Building 2, Bedford, NH 03110.
