OBITUARY – JAMES ALLEN DAVIS
NASHUA- James Allen Davis, 81, died peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington and was surrounded by his loving family. James is the beloved husband of Delores (Wilson) Davis whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
James was born in Chester, Pennsylvania on June 7, 1936, and was the son of the late Doreatha (Davis) Smith and step-son of James Smith. As a young man he attended schools in Baltimore, Maryland. After high school, James enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his enlistment, he was employed as a logistics manager. He was also a proud recipient of many medals, including two Bronze Stars for his service in the Vietnam War. James served 28 years in the Air Force until his retirement. Simultaneous to serving in the armed forces, James received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, at Western New England University.
In his free time, James enjoyed music and attended many Jazz performances. Both James and his wife were world travelers. James was an avid sports fan but had a special love for Football and was a hardcore Baltimore Ravens fan. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle, and enjoyed the finer things in life.
James is survived by his loving wife, three daughters, Kelli Thomas (Michael Thomas); Kendyl Davis; Keeva Davis; four grandchildren, Kendra Sanon, James Davis, Mykael Thomas, and Mykaila Thomas; as well as, four great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on FRIDAY, March 23rd, from 3PM until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua, New Hampshire. His funeral mass will be held on SATURDAY, March 24th at 11 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua, New Hampshire; KINDLY MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment and military honors will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
