Jane M. (Switzer) Martin

NASHUA- Jane M. (Switzer) Martin, 54, died peacefully Wednesday evening, April 11, 2018 at The Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a courageous battle with cancer. Jane is the beloved wife of Gregory Martin.

She was born in Brockton, MA on March 18, 1964 and is the loving daughter of Donald L. and Elizabeth (Tucker) Switzer of N. Easton, MA.

For many years, Jane was employed a nurse, working for various doctor’s offices and hospitals.

In her free time, she was an avid hiker and a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club. She enjoyed going to the gym at Hampshire Hills and she was also a board member of the Amherst Garden Club. Above all, Jane was a devoted mother and loved her family deeply. Her time spent with them was always truly cherished.

In addition to her husband, Gregory and her parents Donald and Elizabeth, she is survived by her three sons, Samuel Martin, James Martin, and Peter Martin all of Nashua; her daughter MaryClare Martin of Nashua; as well as her brothers, David Switzer and his wife Alice of Easton, MA and Michael Switzer and his wife Judy of Franklin, MA; as well as her sister-in-law, Maura Switzer of Norton, MA.

Jane was predeceased by her brother, Mark Switzer.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on SUNDAY, April 15th from 4 until 8 PM at ST. PATRICK CHURCH, 29 Spring Street, Nashua.  Her Funeral Mass will be held on MONDAY, April 16th at 10 AM in St. Patrick Church.  KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Her interment will take place Monday in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane’s name to Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114 or to the Appalachian Mountain Club at outdoors.org.
