Janet (LaQuerre) Soucy

Janet Soucy passed away quietly on Sunday Jan 14th at Southern New Hampshire Medical center after a sudden illness, surrounded by her 3 sons and close family.

Janet was born Sept 17th 1935 in Nashua, the daughter of John and Victoria (Ouellette) LaQuerre.  Janet was a graduate of Nashua High School class of 1954.  She was then a graduate of the Nashua Business College.

Janet was an employee of Sanders Associates for 25 years (now BAE Systems).  After retirement from Sanders, she worked for the Sherriff’s department for a brief time as a bailiff. In 1994 she went to work for the Nashua School systems in the food service dept.

Janet was predeceased by her husband Ronald R Soucy in 1993.  Janet is 1 of 10 children, predeceased by her sisters Julia Sirois, Cecilia Kitchen, Theresa LaQuerre, Blanch Walker and brothers Paul LaQuerre, Gerard LaQuerre, Ray Laquerre and Robert LaQuerre as well as her granddaughter, Michelle (Lavinge) Kelley.

She is survived by her sister Janice Lenz of Nashua.

She is also survived by her children Paul Lavigne and his wife Mary, Peter Lavigne and his wife Michelle, and Luke Lavigne. Grandchildren Mathew Lavigne, Eric Lavigne, Renee Lavigne, Chase Lavigne, Brett Lavigne. Her great grandchildren; Tyla, Connor, Ryann, Carver.

Visitation will be held at ANCTIl-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua on FRIDAY, January 19th from  9 until 10:30 AM with services at the funeral home to follow.  Alternative to flowers, donations can be to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064.
