Louis Archambault

November 7, 1924 ~ March 5, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years Old


NASHUA- Louis C. Archambault, 92, died peacefully Sunday evening, March 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Irene (St. Pierre).

Louis was born in Nashua on November 7, 1924 and is the son of the late Joseph M. and Adrienne Y. (Brodeur) Archambault. He proudly served his country during WWII as a surgical technician with the 85th Army Evacuation Hospital in France and Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1946. During his service, Louis received many medals of Honor including, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon and Army of Occupation Medal of Germany.

For many years, Louis was the owner and operator of St. Pierre’s Jewelry in Nashua.

Louis was a member of the American Legion #3, the VFW Post # 483 and was also a life member of Catholic War Veterans in Manchester. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Louis is survived by his children, Denise Richard of Burke, Virginia, Lisa and Barbara Beelle of Concord, Pierre L. Archambault  and Jean Stawarz of Roslindale, MA, Ernest and Diana Archambault of Cocoa, FL, and Daniel R. and Terrie Archambault of Cocoa, FL. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul Archambault and his wife Doris of Nashua, and Maurice Archambault and his wife Jacqueline of Tucson, AZ; his sisters, Genevieve Cormier and Theresa Archambault both of Nashua; his sister-in-law, Ida Archambault of Nashua  as well as his seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Louis was predeceased by his son-in-law, Philip Richard, his brothers André Archambault and Lucien Archambault and his brother-in-law, Raymond Cormier.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on MONDAY, March 13th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 448 W. Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment will follow in NH State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
