Michael R. Welch

NASHUA- Mr. Michael R. Welch, 69, a resident of Nashua for the past 35 years, passed away on Wednesday November 20, 2016, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

Michael was born in Farmington, ME on August 31, 1947, a son of the late Clifford Welch and late Phyllis (Woods) Hannington.  Michael was predeceased by his loving wife, Denise Welch (Desbois), of 45 years.

Michael, recently retired and working at his second home in Steep Falls, Me, was employed with Fleetpride for 18 years as a heavy-duty truck mechanic.  A wonderful husband, father, Papa, brother, son and friend enjoyed his family and “dubbin’” (which meant crafting new things for his grandchildren and camp), was passionate about camping and golf carts, and stepping in to help anyone who needed it.  Michael will be missed by all.

Michael is survived by two daughter, Tammy Demanche of Nashua and Lesa Phipps of Weare; four grandchildren, Jon Jr and Caly Demanche, Ricky and Crystal Phipps; sisters Michelle Rancourt of Waterville, ME, Roz Smith and her husband Louis of Sidney, ME, brother Eric of Madrid, ME; nieces Alissa, Kristi, Jennifer; two nephews, Robert, Ricky.

Visitation will be held on SUNDAY, December 4th from 1 until 4 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, NASHUA. His Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home at 4 PM. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s name to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, # 110, Bedford, NH 03110.
