Oscar L. Moreau

March 19, 1927 ~ February 12, 2017 (age 89) 89 Years Old


NASHUA- Oscar L. Moreau, 89, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Madeline (Bosley) (Dionne) Moreau.

Oscar was born in Nashua on March 19, 1927. He was the son of the late Henry and Eugenia (Thibodeau) Moreau. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Marine Corp until he was honorably discharged.

For many years, he was employed by Raytheon in the electronics department until his retirement.

Oscar was a member of the Lafayette Club for many years where he and his wife would love to go dancing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Buddy Dionne and his wife Diane of Nashua, David Dionne and his wife Gayle of Nashua, and his daughter-in-law Lois Dionne of Nashua; his five siblings, Alice Moreau of Nashua, Lucienne Lampert of Hyannis, MA, Paul Moreau of Nashua, Henry Moreau and his wife Marion of Merrimack, and Richard Moreau and his wife Pat of Port Orchard, WA. Oscar is also survived by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Oscar was predeceased by his two children, Alvin and Sandra Dionne as well as his siblings Lorette, Joseph, Rene, and Eugene.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on THURSDAY, February 16th from 3 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral will be held on FRIDAY, February 17th at 11 AM in Infant Jesus Church/St. John XXIII Parish, 121 Allds Street, Nashua. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Oscar’s name to Infant Jesus Church Bereavement Committee, 121 Allds Street, Nashua.
