Our deepest sympathies on Pete's passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you all during this saddest of times. Although we did not have the pleasure of knowing him for a long time... within five minutes of meeting him, he made us feel like we were friends for years. I will always remember Pete's smile and the wonderful teaching he provided our daughter.

Meg, Ryan, Shannon, & Colin
My thoughts and prayers are with you all this difficult time. Our Sunset Heights community has lost a true leader - I will always remember Coach Pete helping my son Christian and so many others learn the game, respect fellow teammates, work hard & play hard - but play to have fun! I would see him from time to time at Dunks, downtown or at school events - he always had a smile and saw the best in everyone. RIP Coach Pete.

Coach Pete was so very special to my daughter and I truly believe she was special to him. He coached my daughter, Paige, with care, love and respect. He taught her about the game, both the physical and mental aspects. He took her under his wing, joked with her on so many ‘inside’ things, and developed a wonderful relationship with her. She’s having a hard time with his passing because she knows just how special he was.

Please know how missed you are Pete, my girl is forever changed by knowing you….

Dear Miller Family,

I was so incredibly sad when I heard about the loss on Saturday and wish I could've been around to visit in person. Nobody should be lost as young as he was, and no family should have to go through a loss like this. He will certainly be remembered well by everyone that knew him, and I can't say enough good things. My thoughts and condelences are with your family through all of this.

Sincerely,
Michael

I didn't know Pete but I knew Meg, but he sure sounds like someone I would've liked to have known. I knew Meg from way back when- when we were younger and crazier. What I remember about Meg is her carefree nature, zest for life and smile. She was laid back as well- something she taught me how to be as I watched her navigate our college years. These qualities may help carry Meg and her family through this time of loss. I pray for Pete's family and for Meg.

So sorry for you loss. It's sad that it takes times like these to remind you of the special friendships that have quietly slipped away. The memories, however are never forgotten. Much love to all of you!!

Dear Meg, Ryan, Shannon, Colin and extended Miller family,
Our deepest sympathies on Pete's passing. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you all during this very difficult time. Pete was truly one of the most selfless men that I have ever known. He was a very kind man, always willing to lend an ear to all, had an awesome smile and looked at the bright side of life. Pete was a wonderful neighbor to all; always helping out anyone in need whether shoveling the next door neighbor's driveway or raking leaves. I will miss Pete's smile; seeing him shovel snow in shorts during the winter which always put a smile on my face; and our neighborhood chats. We are forever grateful for his dedication to coaching soccer and giving our daughters' rides to and from the soccer field. Our daughters have many wonderful memories of time spent with Shannon, Pete, and your family. God bless you all and may you find comfort in the happy, loving memories that you shared with Pete.

Pete Miller was one of the most selfless people I ever knew. He gave to everyone and was always ready to give more. I knew Peter through my brothers and was fortunate to have Pete work for me for a time. He was the newest employee and in short time knew everyone and what needed to be done. I will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Meg and children. I share your loss and think of you will kindness and sense of loss. God Bless you all.

Coach Miller,
Thank you for all the time and effort that you have put into coaching our soccer team this year. We really appreciate what you have done for the team. You have devoted so much time and effort into making our soccer team successful. This is due to your guidance, patience, persistence and never giving up on us
You have reinforced that sportsmanship, determination, and stepping up out of our comfort zone is what we will need to be successful on and off the field.
Success is not just measured in wins and losses but also in gained knowledge, skills and shared camaraderie.
Thank you for your guidance and continuing support.
