Rita Dunlap passed away on February 13, 2018, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. In celebration of her life, a funeral service will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua at 10:00 a.m. on March 9, 2018 with interment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.
Rita was born in Lowell, MA in 1924 to Joseph and Lottie (Karam) Saab. After losing her mother when she was only 14, she assumed the task of caring for her father and five brothers. This created lifetime bonds and an enduring commitment to family. Though circumstances would later take her to Illinois, California and New Hampshire, she always considered Lowell to be her home. She enjoyed a satisfying career as an inspector for Sanders Associates in Nashua until her retirement but always regarded her role as homemaker to be her most important and rewarding. Her deeply rooted faith, her commitment to her family and her resilient spirit are the basis of her legacy to her ten great-granddaughters.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Patricia (Peter) Pashler, Judith (Peter) Waligora, Teri Parker; grandchildren, Christopher (Kathleen) Pashler, Bryce (Madhavi) Pashler, Amy (Robert) Shea, Tracy (Darrell) Cox, Loni (Joseph) Kustron, Harley (Abbey) Parker; and great-grandchildren, Amelia, Nora, and Rosie Pashler, Siya Pashler, Camryn Shea, Alexis and Reilly Cox, Mila and Elsie Kustron, Maddy Parker. Rita is also survived by her brother Thomas (Mary) Saab and nephew Karam (Tonya) Saab.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brothers, Joseph Saab, John Joseph, Peter Joseph and Louis Saab.
We wish to express our deep appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Bedford Falls for the excellent care given to our Mom.
