Veronica Gabriel

Veronica (Boska) Gabriel, 96, formerly of 69 Underhill St., Nashua, died July 12, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Coden, Alabama.

 Mrs. Gabriel, known to many as Nana or Aunt Ronnie, was loved by many and famous for the crosses she hand-crafted and gave out to everyone.  Throughout her 96 years she was also known for her cake decorating, sewing, and love of Bingo.  She was a happy woman who strongly loved God, her family and friends; she never met a stranger.  Mrs. Gabriel was one of the originators of the St. Stanislaus Ladies Guild.

 Mrs. Gabriel was born on Feb. 20, 1921 in Hudson to the late Benjamin Boska and Pauline (Chodkeiwicz) Boska.  She was the last surviving sibling of her Boska brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Gabriel was married to Lawrence (Pete) Gabriel for 59 years prior to his death in 1997.  She was also predeceased by a son, Richard Gabriel, who died Dec. 7, 1976 as well as a granddaughter, Jeanine (Anderson) Webb who passed away Jan. 11, 2009.

 Survivors include her daughter, Ellen (Gabriel) Anderson of Coden, AL.; 3 grandchildren, Dic Gabriel of Irvington, AL, Laurie Lemieux of Moriches, Long Island, NY, and Gordon Anderson, of Mobile, AL.; ten great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on SATURDAY, July 22nd from 8:30 until 9:30 AM in ST. LOUIS de GONZAGUE CHURCH, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua, NH 03060. Her Funeral Mass will follow in the Church at 9:30 AM and interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Nashua.
