Walter N. Poulin

December 25, 1928 ~ February 12, 2017 (age 88) 88 Years Old


NASHUA- Walter N. Poulin, 88, died peacefully at his home on Sunday February 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Blanche (Lagasse) Poulin.

Walter was born in Nashua on December 25, 1928. He was the son of the late Edward and Clara (Boudreau) Poulin.

Walter proudly belonged to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters of America for over 50 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a carpenter by Harvey Construction. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed snow birding to Florida in the winters. Walter took great pride and joy in growing fresh vegetables in the summer to share with family and friends. Walter was also a member of the Senior Center Cribbage Club and enjoyed playing card games with family as well. He was a devoted and caring father who took pleasure in helping his children with home projects and improvements. Walter was always a very giving and helpful man to all.

In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his four children, Susan Godin and husband David of Nashua, Lorraine Turcotte of Nashua, Rene Poulin and wife Cecile of Hudson, and Louise Guest and husband Rick of Mason; 10 grandchildren, Mark Godin, Brooke Brayboy and husband Louis, Cindy Godin, Amy Turcotte, Brian Turcotte and wife Kati, Jennifer Turcotte, Tyler Poulin, Erica Guest, Richard Guest Jr., and Nicholas Guest. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren, Keshon Brayboy, Amaya Brayboy, TJ Turcotte, Brianna Turcotte, Justin Turcotte, Kingston Meekins, Jordan Poulin and Owen Michael Guest.

Walter was predeceased by his sisters, Sibyl Parent, Thelma C. Puckett, Rosalie Malhoit, Marguerite Brodeur and his brother Rev. Hector G. Poulin.

Relatives and friends are invited to Walter’s Funeral Mass on TUESDAY, February 21st at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E Dunstable Road, Nashua, NH. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made in Walter’s name to Home, Health and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
