OBITUARY:                                      RICHARD D. SPENCER


Richard D. Spencer, 78, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2010 in the company of his loved ones.
Richard was born in Billerica, MA on May 22, 1932, a son of the late Waldo A. & Ruth (Ramsdell) Spencer. He was the husband of Mary (Servant) Spencer of Nashua.
Richard was a longtime Nashua resident. He had been employed by the former Pandora Knitting and the Kall Wall Co. Richard will be remembered most for his absolute devotion to his family, infinite adoration for his grandchildren and as an enthusiastic Boston sports fanatic. He was a US Coast Guard veteran. He was predeceased by two brothers, Waldo and Ralph and a sister, Laura.
Besides his wife of 36 years, Richard is survived by;
Four daughters; Amy Jo Andrews of Lake, MI, Candi Carter of Nashua, Kelly Contino of Nashua and Karie Bumford and her husband Jason of Malta, NY
Two brothers; Wally Spencer and his wife Betty of Montgomery, AL and Bill Spencer and his wife Carol of Hampton, NH
One sister; Helen Murphy and her husband Danny of Mass.
Eleven grandchildren; Laura Andrews, Robert Andrews, Miranda Carter, Joshua Carter, Anthony Contino, Jr., Emily Contino, Jacob Contino, Sophia Contino, Spencer David Bumford, Cassandra Bumford and Mackenzie Bumford
Three great grandchildren; Sarah, Nicole and Hunter
Also several nieces, nephews and cousins


SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Monday June 14, 2010 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 15, 2010 in the Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Platelet Disorder Support Association, 133 Rollins Ave., Suite 5 Rockville, MD 20852, www.pdsa.org.
