OBITUARY: RICHARD “RICK” PARADIS

Richard “Rick Paradis, 43, of Nashua passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 15, 2010 in his home.
Rick was born in Nashua on May 2, 1967, a son of Lucille (Gallagher) Paradis of Concord and the late Romeo C. Paradis.
Rick was a lifelong resident of Nashua, receiving his education through private local schools until enrolling for adult services in 1988 through the Nashua Center. Rick’s dedicated and loving parents always put his needs ahead of their own and made sure that Rick lived a full life filled with experiences he enjoyed. When Rick left home to re-unite and live with his older brother Tom in Nashua, his parents visited “the boys” often and always made sure they arrived with Rick’s favorite shake. Rick developed many friendships throughout his life and his infectious laugh will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He enjoyed swimming, walking and floating in pools when the water was just right. He liked his music loud, was a juice connoisseur and would try all types of foods, especially sweets. He was not fond of the wind and rain, or working through his daily range of motion exercises, but he would do them just the same. Rick was also a volunteer at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. In April, 2009, Rick moved in with Kristy LaFontaine and Mike Martel and their two children, Lexi and Corey. His life was filled with family events and activities. He thoroughly enjoyed his time there but especially his relationship with Kristy. He also grew very close to Paul and Kathy LaFontaine, who lived across the street.
Besides his mother, Rick is survived by;
Two brothers; Tom Paradis of Nashua and David Paradis and his wife Kathleen of Pembroke
Three sisters; Donna Richardson and her husband James of Pembroke, Ann Youngman and her husband David of Hudson and Jeanne Haigler and her husband Michael of Nashua
Also several nieces and nephews

SERVICES: Private family visiting hours will be held on Monday June 21, 2010 in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. Graveside services will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.

To Annie Youngman and all of her family;

I''m so sorry to hear of your loss. With life unfortunately comes death and we all as human beings deal with it in our own ways. I''ve been told so many times that death is a new begining not an end. I truly choose to believe this to be true. And one day we will reunite with all of our loved ones who have passed before us.

Know that you & your whole family are in my thoughts & prayers !! Love you Annie !

A laugh and a smile such as his will never be forgotten. God bless him on his new journey and may God bring solace to all his family, friends, and acquaintances who had the fortune of having at least one day in his sunshine.

I would to express my sympathy to Rick''''s family for the support they showed by helping the animals at the Humane Society. I will miss the Wednesday mornings working side by side and I know the animals will miss Rick too. My thanks to Randy for also helping the shelter and providing Rick a path for showing support. Although I never got a chance to meet Rick''''s family, I feel fortunate to have been able to meet Rick (and Randy).
