I will miss our weekly Hospice visits. It seemed whenever we got together, we could chase away any clouds and bring out the sunshine. I enjoyed laughing and joking at all the stories we told. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Several of the Letendre boys have access to email and we keep in touch that way. A message from the brothers is how I heard about Matante Carmel's death. I am so sorry to hear this. However, it has been two years since my Mom, Dora, died. For a long time before she died, Mom would tell me that Carmel was not in good shape at all. Mom did not share many details, but from what I gleaned from my Mom, I guess that all is better now for Matante Carmel. I truely believe that.

My memories of Matante Carmel are from when I was very young, probably the 1950's. I remember eating pistachios with her--the dyed red kind whose coloring spread all over your fingers. Loved those pistachios, though! I remember kids songs she used to sing--Mike and I were the audience, I think. She sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider..." "Fuzzy Wuzzy" and something like "That's What We Learned in School." I don't know what the adults would have said back then, but to my ears in those days Matante Carmel's voice sounded quite loud.

God Bless Her and Welcome Her!
Colin Letendre. Condolences from Mary Jane and our children as well.

The three months that I've known you at Courville. You will always have a special place in my heart. You always gave me a hug every night and told me thank you. You are a special woman and the Lord is lucky to have the most beautiful angel with him. Your wonderful laugh and smile will be missed. Love you Carmel.
