OBITUARY: HAROLD OSCAR BISHOP
Harold O. Bishop, 88, of Palm Harbor, Fl and formerly of Nashua, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010 in Palm Harbor, Fl following a brief illness.
Harold was born in Nashua on July 2, 1921, a son of the late Oscar & Nellie (Askham) Bishop. He was predeceased by his wife, Charmaine (Bosse) Bishop and his son, Gerald N. Bishop.
A Nashua icon and Triumph Motorcycle community legend, Harold was a successful businessman with many endeavors including a service station known originally as Bishop’s Garage located on West Hollis St. in Nashua, which changed to a motorcycle shop now known as Gate City Cycle Center. He was the original founder of Motorcycles of Manchester and Hudson Cycle Center. He had been recognized locally and regionally for his expertise and knowledge in the motorcycle industry. Harold had received many outstanding sales recognition awards for dealer in the U.S. from Triumph Motorcycles. Harold was a WWII Army veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart during his time in the service. After his return to Nashua, Harold had been employed by Nashua Corporation for many years.

Four great grandchildren; Jacob Bishop, Alicesen Bishop, Noah Adams and Danica Adams
A former daughter-in-law; Mary Bishop of Milford
The Wheeler family of Pepperell, MA who were close friends as well as many others who adored this wonderful man.
SERVICES: There are no visiting hours. A private family service will be held at a later date. For those wishing to send an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Harold’s name to the US Department of Veteran Affairs, 810 Vermont Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20420.
