Betty Jeanne Proulx

Betty Jeanne (Jackson) Proulx, 90, formerly of Warner and Hudson, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, April 8, 2024 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She is the beloved wife of Paul Frank Proulx with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.

Betty was born in Rochester, New Hampshire on August 22, 1933 and was the daughter of the late William Herbert Sr and Gladys (Vickers) Jackson. She received her education in the Farmington School System and was a graduate of Farmington High School. She also attended and graduated secretarial education at Burdett College in Boston, MA.

In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and neighbors, traveling with the local Model T clubs all around the country, quilting projects, and cultivating her many gardens on Waterloo Road.

In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by her three children, Cynthia Karen Proulx and her husband David of Hampton, Gary Paul Proulx and his wife Lisa of Brookline, and Rodney Alan Proulx and his wife Alyssa of Hudson; her seven grandchildren, Amanda Farrington and her husband Jarrad, Christopher Marshall, Nicole Marshall, Gregory Proulx, Tyler Proulx, Jocelyn Proulx, and Taylor Proulx. She is also survived by her great-grandson, Hugh Farrington, her Brother-in-law George Proulx and his wife Shirley, her  Sister-in-law Norma, Niece Nancy-Kay Potashner and her husband Richard; nephew Kevin Jackson and his wife Tami. Among beloved extended family members in the Farmington/Rochester area. Special bonus family members include Victoria Markarian-Aubin and her husband Noah.

Betty was predeceased by her brother William Hebert Jackson Jr and his wife June. 

Betty’s interment will take place at a later date in New Waterloo Cemetery in Warner, New Hampshire. Donations may be made in her name to Pillsbury Free Library.
