Romeo Levesque Obituary

Our beloved Romeo Levesque, 85, of Lowell and formerly of Hudson, NH, passed away on March 29, 2024 following a prolonged illness. He was married for over 55 years to his wife, Rita (Roy) Levesque until her passing in November 2018.

He also leaves his three children, Karen Barrows and her husband James of Lowell MA, Lynn Hilbrunner and her husband Kevin of Sanbornton, NH, and Jim Levesque of Tampa, Fl. He had three wonderful grandchildren, Jai, Brennan and Kaitlyn.

He was born in Nashua, NH on August 27, 1938. He attended local schools and received his Associates degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1959.

To all who knew him, Romeo was known for his ready smile and love for being around people, animals, and his plants. His family was always his priority. Most of his career was in construction, first building, and then estimating and managing jobs. Upon retirement, he stayed busy with traveling, planting flowers in his yard, part time jobs, especially being a bagger at Market Basket and talking to everyone that passed by.

Romeo moved in with his oldest daughter not long after his wife’s death. He enjoyed his time out in the sun in the summer, watching the Red Sox and Patriots play, taking walks, and loving his cat, Cutie, and the family dog, Tessa.

Relatives and friends are invited to Romeo’s visitation on THURSDAY, April 4th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on FRIDAY, April 5th at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 777 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua.

In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to the Knights of Columbus. Romeo was a Knight for 43 years and was a member of the Bishop Ruocco Council and the Bishop Delany Assembly in Chelmsford and Lowell. He was a life member and very active in his younger years.
