Bernadette M. (Jonas) Kaufman

MERRIMACK- Bernadette M. Kaufman, 73, died peacefully Thursday Morning, May 3, 2018 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth J. Kaufman who predeceased her on April 24, 2012.

Bernadette was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 11, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Fred and Eleanor (Blind) Jonas.

In her free time, she enjoyed painting, crocheting,cooking and gardening. She would always listen to music, especially oldies doo-wop or watching NASCAR, which she was an avid fan. Above all, her family will miss her feisty personality and the cherished memories of time spent with her family as well as her beloved dogs.

Bernadette is survived by her three daughters, Bernadette Kaufman of Merrimack and her fiancé Jeff Park of Concord, Eleanor Kaufman, and Barbara Kaufman both of Merrimack. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Ronald Kaufman and his wife Evelyn of Long Island, NY and John Dowdican of Castle Rock,Colorado as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she was predeceased by her three siblings, Thomas Jonas, Freddie Jonas, and Patricia Dowdican.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on WEDNESDAY, May 9th from 4 until 6 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her graveside service and interment will be held on FRIDAY, May 11th at 1:30 PM at St. Louis Cemetery, W Hollis Street, Nashua.
