Charles Malone Obituary

NASHUA—Charles R. “Charlie” Malone of Nashua, passed away on October 12, 2018 at his home in Nashua, he was 87 years old.

Born in Cambridge, MA on January 4, 1931, he was the son of the late Edward and Mabel (Kennedy) Malone.  He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Gamache) Malone.

Charlie was educated in the Boston School System, and after graduating high school he served in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict until he was honorably discharged.  He worked for Monroe Paper Co.for many years.  He then moved to Hudson where he worked for Digital Corporation, retiring from there in 1989.  After his retirement, Charlie relocated to Florida and worked as a crossing guard for the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department.  He then moved to Manchester and once more worked as a crossing guard. Then finally settled in Nashua and working for St. Christopher’s School.

Charlie is survived by his four sons, Daniel Malone and his wife Nancy of Berlin, NH, Richard Malone and his longtime partner Louisa Villa of Lowel, David Malone and his wife Nattia of Lowell, MA and Charles Malone  and his wife Ruth of Lowell, MA; his four step-children, Sandra Lussier and her husband Armand of Pelham, NH, Thomas Galipeau and his wife Lorraine of Etowah, NC, Jean Stavrinos and her husband John of Nashua, and Paula Gele of Nashua, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his seven brothers and five sisters.

At the request of the family, a celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in his honor to Community Hospice House, which provided him with loving care in his final days, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
