Cynthia Russell Obituary

NASHUA—Cynthia G. Russell, age 62, passed away at Greenbriar Nursing Home on August 25th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on April 24, 1956, she was the daughter of Ann M. (McArthur) Russell and the late Robert S. Russell, Sr.

Cindy was a licensed nursing assistant her whole life, starting at Lowell General Hospital, where she worked for 15 years. She then moved to Christian Hill Nursing Home in Lowell, where she worked for 10 years. She later moved to Greenbriar Nursing Home in Nashua, where she spent the last 26 years of her career. Cindy was passionate about nursing, and it showed through the many friends she made and the patients she helped through the years. The compassion, care, and love she showed to anyone who met her will never be forgotten.

Cindy loved being out in the sunshine and listening to the world around her. She loved watching tennis and spending time with her mother, Ann. She also liked collecting antiques.

She had an incredible sense of humor that was sure to light up any room. Above all else though, nursing was her passion, and her kind spirit and bright sense of humor brought a true honor to the profession.

Besides her loving mother, Cindy is survived by her brother Robert S. Russell, Jr., and his wife Susan of Pelham; her three sisters, Gayle Pulsifer of Lowell; Robin McKenzie and her husband Frank of Bel Air, Maryland; Ann Pulsifer of Lowell; and brother-in-law David Pulsifer of Chelmsford. She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, and 7 great nieces and nephews.

Cindy is predeceased by her brother Gary Russell, and her brother-in-law Michael Pulsifer.

At the request of the family, services will be private. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Cindy’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
