Dorothy P. (Cabana) Pelletier

Hollis- Dorothy P. Pelletier, 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 27, 2019.

Born in Keene, NH on April 29, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Rhenda (Letendre) Cabana.  Dorothy graduated from St. George High School in Manchester in 1958.  Shortly after, she was set up in a blind date with Donald N. Pelletier.  She went on to become a Registered Nurse after graduating from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in August of 1961.  Dorothy and Donald were married in September of 1961 and shared 53 wonderful years together before he passed in 2014.

She began her career as a nurse for one of Nashua's top Oral Surgeons, and after 17 years, decided it was time for a change.  Dorothy went on to spend the bulk of her career as a school nurse for the Hudson School Department, where she was honored as NH School Nurse of the Year in 2000.

Dorothy enjoyed reading, puzzles, and gardening in her free time.  She will be missed by her two cats, Sam and Shadow, and loved being a doggie grandma to Callie and Jackson.  Besides being pre-release by her parents and husband, she is survived by her three children, Normand Pelletier of Manchester, Denise Pelletier of Hollis, and Nicole Vignola of Nashua; her three granddaughters Moriah Vignola of Manchester, Jayden Vignola of North Carolina, and Gabrielle Vignola of Nashua, as well as many nieces and nephews.

As per Dorothy's wishes, there will be no services.  As an expression of Sympathy, donations may be made in Dorothy's name to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua.
