Edward J. Coombes

Epsom- Edward “Mr. Ed” J. Coombes, 85, of Epsom and formerly of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Epsom Center, Epsom, NH.

Edward was born in Malden, MA on June 19, 1933 a son of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Burke) Coombes.   He was the loving husband of the late Lolita (Amodeo) Coombes who died January 12, 2006.

Edward had honorably served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.  He had been employed by the Hudson School System for many years and was affectionately known as Mr. Ed.  Edward was a lifelong Boston sports fan.

Edward is survived by one daughter; Lisa Lyon of Hudson, One son; Brian Coombes and his wife Michelle of Pittsfield, two grandchildren; Evan Morse and Anna Lyon, one brother; Leonard Coombes of Concord and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on WEDNESDAY, October 24th from 6 until 8 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on THURSDAY October 25 at 10 AM in St. John XXIII at St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library St., Hudson. Everyone is invited to meet at the church.  Burial with military honors will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson.
