Elaine Thomas

CALIFORNIA – Elaine (Pleakas) Thomas, 88, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 14, 2019, in Huntington Beach, California surrounded by her loving family.

Elaine was born on September 29, 1931 in Zoni, Kozani, Greece and was the daughter of the late Peter Stergios and Alexandra (Pappas) Pleakas. 

Elaine came to Nashua in 1946 and was a graduate of Nashua High School.  Shortly after marriage, she moved to West Newbury, MA and then to Huntington Beach, CA.

Prior to retirement, Elaine worked in the restaurant business.  Her bright smile and friendly manner made her a friend to all.

Elaine is survived by her children, Renee Thomas Strampello and Vanessa Thomas: her sister, Marian Pleakas: her grandchildren, Chandra Alexa Strampello and Anjali Eva Strampello.

Relatives and friends are invited to Elaine’s visitation on Thursday, January 2nd from 10 AM until 11 AM at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church; 500 W. Hollis Street, Nashua, NH 03062.  Her funeral Service will follow at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church at 11 AM.  Interment is to immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery; Nashua, NH.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church.
