HUDSON—Ida Jane (Knight) Michaud, age 70, passed away peacefully at Greenbriar Nursing, on January 6, 2019. Ida was the beloved daughter of the late Howard Knight and Marion Johnson, and her step-dad Thurman.
Ida was the beloved wife of Royal Michaud, with whom she spent 34 wonderful years of marriage. Ida will be greatly missed by her son Timothy Theos, daughter Robyn Michaud, and a very special granddaughter Chelsea McGrail, who she loved like a daughter.
She has left us with a legacy of love that will live on forever in all of us.
Ida and her husband built their home together, nail by nail, from the ground up. She then went on to spend her time in the flower garden, often barefoot and covered in dirt. She also blossomed when surrounded by friends and family, often gathering for weekly BBQ’s or holiday celebrations. The joy she brought to all our lives and her infectious laughter will never be forgotten.
She worked many years in electronics and had an in-home camera repair shop. Ida and her husband were always on the go, she had a wonderful love for adventure and exploring new places. They enjoyed travel, including many cruises and one of Ida’s favorite was their time in Branson, MO. (She was such a country girl at heart.) Whether she was out dancing or hosting family and friends, she was upbeat and ready for anything! However, her illness robbed her of spending time in their second home in Florida, which was going to be her retirement.
Ida also leaves behind her brothers-in-law, Roland and his wife Marion of Hudson, Roger of Palm Bay, Florida, Jerry and his wife Tina of Nashua, and Russell and his wife Melanie of Hudson. Her sister-in-law Estelle Murray and her husband Jim of Arizona, Marcia, and Nancy.
Her beautiful grandchildren, Amber Fudge and her husband Gregg of Pittsfield, NH, Jade Theos of Somersworth, NH, Justin Theos of Manchester, NH, Paul Plourde of Lowell, MA, Jonathan Plourde of Lowell, MA, Matthew Michaud of Nashua, Michael Guerette of Nashua, Christy Michaud of Nashua and Corey Michaud of Nashua as well as nine great-grandchildren.
Ida was predeceased by her son Richard Theos, her daughter Rhonda Woodside, her son Ricky Michaud, her sister Cora Mae Webber, her daughter-in-law Glenda Theos, her brothers-in-law George, Silvio, Paul, Reginald, Alfred, Lawrence, Claude, and Alan; and her sisters-in-law, Jacqueline, Suzanne, Mary, Ruthie, and Lillian.
Ida has touched the hearts of many and will guide us throughout life as an angel on our shoulder. For those of us who knew her well it was a privilege to be a part of her life. She will live on in our memories forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on SUNDAY, January 13th from 4 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on MONDAY, January 14th at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 777 W Hollis Street, Nashua. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
