Jeannine J. Smith

NASHUA—Jeannine J. Smith, age 86, of Bartemus Trail, passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Nashua, NH on January 19, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Jean and Dora (Cote) Morin.  Jeannine graduated from Nashua High School in 1950.  She was the wife of the late Rene Smith, whom she married on June 13, 1953.  They had been married for 55 years.

Jeannine worked at Woolworths, Doehla Greeting Card and at Sanders, BAE, for 26 years, retiring in 1992.  She loved spending her summers in York, Maine and several winters in Florida with her husband Rene. 

Jeannine is survived by her two sons, Scott Smith and his wife Norma of Nashua, and Gary Smith of Nashua; her two daughters, Doreen Boyer and her husband Steve of Laconia, and Sharon Turmel of Nashua; six grandchildren, Geoffrey Smith, Jason Smith, Andrew Smith, Ryan Turmel, Amanda LaBadia, and Sarah Boyer; three great-grandchildren, Landon Smith, Jerry LaBadia, and Dylan LaBadia.

Jeannine was the sister of the late Gene Morin.

A Graveside Service will be held for Jeannine on April 20 at 11 AM at the OLD St. Louis Cemetery, Mercier Lane (formerly Old W. Hollis Rd.), Nashua.  As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to The National Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts St. #450, Newton, MA 02458.
