John Nelson Obituary

NASHUA- John C. ‘Jack’ Nelson, 75, died peacefully Monday morning, December 31, 2018 at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH. Jack is the beloved husband of Mary (Shand) Nelson with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.
Jack, the son of the late Bernard John and Helena (Foye) Nelson, grew up in Brighton, MA where he attended St. Columbkille’s HS with all of his great childhood friends.  He moved to Nashua, NH in 1977 after graduating Bentley College and worked at Nashua Corp.
Jack was inspired by his deep love of family to work tirelessly for many decades to provide for them and in doing so he created a tax and accounting company that served the people of the community.  He will be missed by his wonderful staff and the clients he helped over the years.
He went through life with an inspirational smile while enjoying his many passions like, travelling the world with his beloved wife, membership in Cribbage Club 314 in Hudson, memorable family reunions with his brothers and sisters, annual hunting trips where memories were made with his sons and good buddies, regular dinners with his buddies from the old neighborhood in Brighton and most of all gardening with his grandchildren.
Jack was a faithful communicant at Immaculate Conception and his unwavering faith in God helped guide him through the years.  He is dearly missed, but his family and friends take comfort in the words of his beloved granddaughter “he is an angel with God and Jesus now.  Let’s celebrate him."
Jack is survived by his wife and three children, John C. Nelson Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Michael Nelson and his wife Jennifer both of California, and Jamie Nelson Viveiros and her husband Jorge F. of Nashua; his four grandchildren, Brody and Grace Nelson and Abigail and Ella Viveiros. He is also survived by his three siblings, Stephen Nelson and his wife Ellen of Maynard, MA, Joan Nelson and her husband Barry of Canton, MA and Carol Desaulniers and her husband Bob of California; as well as several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jack’s visitation on FRIDAY, January 4th from 3 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on SATURDAY, January 5th at 11 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E Dunstable Road, Nashua, NH. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Burial will take place in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua at a later date.
