OBITUARY---MARCEL P. DUBORD

Marcel P. Dubord, 73, died peacefully Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Marcel is the beloved husband of Ginette C. (Doyon) Dubord with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife Ginette, he is survived by his two daughters, Vicky Back and her husband Jason of Nashua and Sandra Mailloux and her husband Erik of Litchfield: four grandchildren, Andrew, Anthany, Madelyn, and Avery. He is also survived by his four siblings, Huguette Dubord of Montreal, Raynald Dubord and his wife Ginette of Litchfield, Raymonde Gosselin and her husband Gaston of Hudson, and Claudette Dubord of Montreal, as well as his brother in law and sisters in law, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marcel was born in La Guadeloupe, Quebec, Canada on October 9th, 1945 and was the son of the late Gedeon and Florence (Ferland) Dubord.

Marcel was a hardworking, dependable, and generous man. He offered his assistance to family, friends and strangers regularly and never expected anything in return.

Over the course of his career, he worked in the construction business as a painter, taper, and fire proofing expert up until his retirement 10 years ago. He had amazing attention to detail and took great pride in all his projects on and off the job. He was a 35-year member of the District Council #35 Painters Union .He was well known by many across the trades for his dedication, strong work ethic, expertise, and sense of humor.

In his free time, Marcel enjoyed camping and trips to the beach with friends and, in his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a passion for hockey and would make sure he was watching every game when he had the chance. Marcel always enjoyed having conversations with old and new friends. He regularly joined his buddies for coffee and enjoyed social events. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #122 in Nashua. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His departure will leave a void in the lives of many and he will be missed deeply amongst friends and family both across the United States and Canada.

Marcel was predeceased by his daughter Carole and his two sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to Marcel’s visitation on FRIDAY, May 24th from 3 until 7 PM in ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on SATURDAY, May 25th at 10 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 25 Library Street, Hudson, NH. Interment will be held at a later date.
