OBITUARY – MARGARET RUTUPS

NASHUA- Margaret (D’Ambrosio) Rutups, 73, died peacefully, Wednesday evening, December 20, 2017 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was the beloved wife of Valdis Rutups.

Margaret was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 11, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Petrullo) D’Ambrosio.

Most recently, Margaret was employed for many years by the Nashua School District as a substitute teacher. Prior to that, she worked for Harbor Homes in Nashua in the Family Support Services department as well as the May Institute as a case worker.

In her free time, Margaret enjoyed shopping, cooking, and floral gardening. She also loved to travel to various places with her husband. Margaret was a devout communicant of Immaculate Conception Church where she served as a lector and Eucharistic Minister. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her loving family.

In addition to her husband, Margaret is survived by her two children, her daughter Laura Kitchens and her son Jonathan Rutups. Laura and her husband Brannon gave her three wonderful grandchildren, Brannon (20), Jade (18), and Aidan (9). She also has three siblings, Elizabeth Manziello, Thomas D’Ambrosio and his wife Linda, and Robert D’Ambrosio and his wife Carla. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Rita Pludums. She has many cherished nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on THURSDAY, December 28th at 1:30 PM in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua. Her interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
