NASHUA- Marion “Mimi” L. Belanger, 79, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 20, 2019 at her home.
Marion was born in Worcester, MA on October 19, 1940 and was a daughter of the late Leo and Mildred A. (Blow) Lessard. She was the widow of Norman “Bosco” R. Belanger, Sr. who died June 28, 2019.
For many years, she had been employed by Nashua Corporation until her retirement.
In her free time, Marion enjoyed playing Cribbage, doing crafts and gardening. She loved baking, especially cookies and peanut butter fudge. Marion had volunteered for many during the baseball season at Nashua West Cal Ripken Baseball. For 59 years, she had been a member of the Alec’s Shoe Store Captain Club, where she is now known as “The General”. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her loving family who will miss her deeply.
Marion is survived by her three children, Norman R. Belanger Jr. and his wife Kirsis Abreu of Cape Coral, Florida, Brendalee Holbrook of Nashua, and Rhonda Lilley and her husband Frederick Jr of Searsmont, ME. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alyssa Ames, Frederick Lilley III, Crystal Boynton, Michael J. Belanger, and Robert Holbrook; great-grandchildren, Austin Ames and Brayden Roberts. Marion is survived by two brothers; William Lessard and Adrian Lessard, one sister; Patricia Lund as well as several nieces and nephews.
Marion was predeceased by her son Bruce Belanger, son-in-law, Roland Holbrook, three brothers Albert Lessard, Ernest Lessard and Henry Lessard as well as two sisters; Carmelita and Lillian.
Relatives and friends are invited to Marion’s visitation on Friday December 27, 2019 from 5 until 8 PM at the ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home, Health and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Dr., Merrimack, NH 03054.
