Michael Siciliano Obituary

NASHUA- Michael P. Siciliano, 80, died peacefully on October 23, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sara (Clarenbach) Siciliano, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage.

Michael was born in Albany, NY on December 3, 1938 and was the son of Michael J. Siciliano and Florence Bush Conrad (formerly Siciliano) and their spouses, Evelyn Siciliano and Joseph Conrad, respectively.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, enlisting on April 12, 1956 to faithfully and proudly serve his country. His dream of having a distinguished military career was unfortunately thwarted by unforeseen circumstances and he received an honorable medical discharge. Following his discharge he accepted a temporary position at Itek Optical Systems Corporation of Lexington, MA.  Through his dedication and commitment, this temporary position turned into a lifetime career, and after 42 years with Itek he retired in 2001 as a Senior Security Administrator.

In his free time, Michael loved the ocean, especially Nubble Light House in York Beach, ME. He was an avid reader and photographer and enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, tending to his yard and garden. As an audiophile he was a fan of classical music and jazz. To the end, he enjoyed the simple things in life, most of all spending time with his family.

Michael married Sara, the love of his life, on July 5, 1963. They put down their roots in Nashua, NH, where they raised their three children, who were a great source of pride.  They were blessed with four grandchildren and a great-grandson. In addition to his loving wife, Michael is survived by his three children, Michael P. Siciliano, Jr. and his partner Patricia Doyle of Nashua, NH, Thomas W. Siciliano and his wife Keri of Amherst, NH, and Jane Belair and her husband Roger of Nashua, NH; his four grandchildren, Kaitlyn McMeniman and her husband Sean of Derry, NH, Erika Belair and her wife Janell of Hudson, NH, Thomas W. Siciliano Jr. and his wife Emily of Nashua, NH, and Jacqueline Siciliano of Amherst, NH; and his great-grandson Sean Patrick McMeniman III. Michael is also survived by his sister, Rita DiClemente and her husband John of Billerica, MA; his brother Joseph Conrad and his wife Deborah of Ormond-By-The-Sea, FL; his sister, Cynthia Keyes and her husband Richard of Wilton, NH; his sister-in-law, Louise Slater and her husband Mel of Punta Gorda, FL; his brother-in-law F. William Clarenbach and his wife Sally of Bradford, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his sister Betty Jo Strange, formerly of Nashville, TN.
