Norman Dumais Obituary

AYER, MA- Norman R. Dumais, 80, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, April 22, 2018 at Apple Valley Nursing Center in Ayer, MA. He is the beloved husband of Venette (Bernier) Theriault with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.

Norman was born in Nashua on September 22, 1937 and was the son of the late Harvey Dumais and Annette (Ledoux) Theriault and his late step father, Real Theriault. He served in the United States Army during peacetime.

For 25 years, he was employed as a machinist for Kollsman until his retirement. He was a proud member Elks Lodge #720.

In addition to his wife, Venette, Norman is survived by his children, Melody Dumais and her significant other Noel Gonzalez of Littleton, NH, Melinda Dumais and her fiancé Matthew Bausha of Hudson, NH, Norma Dumais, Maureen Dumais, James Dumais, Norman Dumais Jr., and Claire Dumais. He is also survived by his step-children, Marc Theriault and his wife Kathy of Manchester, NH, Line Poulin and her husband Francois of Hudson, NH and Eric Theriault and his wife Marla of Seattle, WA; as well as his grandchildren, Danielle Acorn, Noel “Nolo” Gonzalez, NataLee Gonzalez, and Grayson Bausha; his step-grandchildren, Emily Thibault, Jeremy Poulin, Marieanne Poulin, and Adam and Justin Theriault;  his brothers, Ronnie Dumais of Clinton, MA and Raymond Dumais and his wife Paula of Nashua, NH; and several nieces and nephews. Norman is survived by his two former wives, Claire Marcella and Melody Bolduc.

Norman was predeceased by his infant daughter, Annette Dumais and his brother Maurice Dumais.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on THURSDAY, April 26th from 5 until 9 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will take place on FRIDAY, April 27th at 10 AM in St. John XXII at Infant Jesus Church, 121 Allds Street, Nashua. Interment to follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua.
