NASHUA- Paul Roger Rioux, 76, died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Claire (Dionne) Rioux with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.
Paul was born in Nashua on February 28, 1943 and was the son of the late Paul Charles and Laurette (Parent) Rioux. He received his education in the Nashua School System, attending St. Anselm's College and also attending New Hampshire College, majoring in Accounting and graduating with his Associates Degree in Business.
Paul started his career in the accounting department at Sanders, then later at JF McElwain.  During this time, he was also involved in Junior Achievement.  He then worked at Teledyne until 1992.  After that, he was employed by Maynard & Lesieur, Inc. for 19 years until his retirement.
He also proudly served his country.  He enrolled into the National Guards in 1966, and later in his military career transferred to the United States Army Reserves and retired after 29 years at the rank of Sergeant Major.

In his younger years, Paul was an All State saxophone player with the Nashua High School Band and also spent many years involved in both Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts with his two sons.  He was extremely proud of earning his Wood Badge. Paul was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a Grand Knight. He and his wife, Claire, were heavily involved with the Nashua, and Hudson Senior Centers, always traveling together to destinations such as Canada and Washington, DC. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren who he adored.
Paul is survived by his three children, Paul John Rioux and his wife Carla of San Antonio, TX, Michelle Claire Martino and her husband Andy of Stoneham, MA, and Peter Paul Rioux and his wife Jill of Goffstown, NH; his grandchildren, Fiona Martino, Brenda Martino, Owen Rioux, Grace Rioux, and Luke Martino; his sister, Denise Welper and her husband Paul of Nashua. He is also survived by his cousins, Jackie Weigand and her husband John of Nashua and Sue Marquis and her husband Roland of San Diego, CA; as well as many nieces and nephews. 
Paul was predeceased by his two sisters, Collette Rioux and Elaine Rioux, and his cousin Bob Morin, who was like a brother to him.
Relatives and friends are invited to Paul's visitation on FRIDAY, May 10th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on SATURDAY, May 11th at 10:00am followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00am in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
