Reginald "Reggie" Sweeney Obituary

NASHUA- Reginald A. “Reggie” Sweeney, 73, of Milford, died suddenly on Friday, December 27, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Reggie is the beloved husband of Lorraine “Laurie” (Nesbit) Sweeney with whom he shared 9 years of marriage and 33 loving years together.

Reggie was born in Concord, NH on September 14, 1946 and was the son of the late Chester and Alice (Deshan) Sweeney.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

For 15 years, Reggie was employed by Kollsman and for Concrete Systems for 18 years prior to his retirement.

In his free time, he was an avid reader, was a foodie and he loved to entertain.

In addition to his wife, Lorraine, he is survived by one daughter; Teresa Cate of NH, two step-daughters; Kathy Thibodeau of NH and Kristen Astilla and her husband Michael of NC, a step-son; Kevin Thibodeau and his fiancée Sandra Hayes of Nashua, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Reggie was the youngest of seven and was predeceased by his six brothers and sisters

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on TUESDAY, January 7, 2020 from 6 until 8 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Service will take place on WEDNESDAY, January 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Reggie’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
