Robert Palmer Obituary

Robert A. Palmer, age 79, passed away at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA, on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.  He was the husband of the late Carol A. (Thompson) Palmer.

Born in Watertown, NY, on January 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Herbert and Ida (Richardson) Palmer.  Robert was educated in the Massena, NY, school system, and later moved on to get a Bachelor’s Degree in the culinary field.

Bob always looked forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren.  In his free time, Bob enjoyed boating with his family and a quiet day fishing on the lake.  He enjoyed camping, working in the yard and the occasional puff of his pipe.  Bob loved so many aspects of his life, but there was little he loved more than his dog Alicia. He was also a member of the local Elks Lodge for 13 years, where he made many dear friends.  He was currently on the audit committee and has served in the past on the Board of Trustees, as well being a driving force on the building committee regarding the new location and renovations.

Bob is survived by his three children, Stephen Palmer and his significant other Sheila Gosselin of East Hampton, CT, Laurie Flanders and her husband David of Weare, and Janet Poulin of Manchester; his six grandchildren, Victoria Palmer, Jeremy Flanders, Daniel Flanders, Bryan Flanders, Gregory Poulin, and Christopher Poulin; his five great-grandchildren, Brayden Flanders, Neviah Flanders, Zane Flanders, Rylie Flanders, and Carver Flanders, as well as his nieces, nephew.

Bob was the brother of the late John Palmer, and the nephew of the late Kathleen Perreault.

Friends and family are invited to call at the ANCTIL-ROCHETTE and SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, on Sunday, April 14th, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. His Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home at 12:30 PM. Interment will happen at a later date and at the convenience of his family.
