Robert J. Brouillard

Robert J. “Chick” Brouillard, age 88, died on December 25 after a brief illness.  He was born on June 27, 1929, and was a lifelong resident of Nashua.  He was the son of the late George and Eva (Milot) Brouillard.  A proud Korean War Veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from 1951-53.  He was employed for many years at Rodgers Brothers Builders and Stabile Construction.  He was a long-time communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.

An avid fisherman, he enjoyed spending summers at his cottage at Hampton Beach where he wiled away hours catching and releasing striped bass.  When not fishing, he could be found often rocking on the porch, laughing with family and friends.  He was a Member of the Club National where he indulged his love of cribbage.  He enjoyed attending the annual New England Golden Gloves boxing tournaments in Lowell and following the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins.

He is survived by his loving wife Irene (Delude) Brouillard with whom he recently celebrated 65 years of marriage.  He will be dearly missed by his immediate family members which include a son Alan Brouillard and his partner Debbi Letendre of Nashua; a son Mark Brouillard of Nashua and his partner Paula Giangrande; a daughter Brenda Calamari and her husband Robert of Lynnfield, MA; a daughter-in-law Krista Brouillard of Nashua; and two granddaughters who lit up his world, Lia Brouillard of Seattle, WA and Marissa Calamari of Lynnfield, MA.  He is predeceased by his son Bruce and daughter Debra; as well as his siblings, Georgette Bernier, Loretta Barlow, and Marcel Brouillard. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law Theresa Galipeau, a brother-in-law George Delude and his wife Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Road, Nashua on Friday, December 29th at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Memphis TN 38148-0142.  Arrangements are in the care of Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home.
