Roger J. St. Laurent Sr.

May 22, 1922 ~ September 23, 2017 (age 95) 95 Years Old


Nashua- Roger J. St. Laurent, Sr., 95, died peacefully, Saturday, September 23, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Pearl T. (Bernier) St. Laurent who predeceased him on July 14, 2008.

Roger was born in Hudson, NH on May 22, 1922 and was the son of the late Adelard and Yvonne (Ricard) St. Laurent. Following high school, Roger enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served during WWII until he was honorably discharged in January of 1949.

For 44 years, he was employed by Nashua Corp as a paper slitter operator until his retirement.

Roger was a member of the VFW #483 as well as the Knights of Columbus #5162 in Hudson, NH. His most cherished time was spent with his family.

He is survived by his two sons, Roger J. St. Laurent, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Litchfield and Andre St. Laurent and his wife Kay of Hillsborough; his three daughters, Laura Bourbeau and her husband Paul of Brownfield, ME, Pauline Colby and her husband Collin of Webster, NH, and Donna Nichols and her husband Dana of Weare, NH. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. His two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Lavoie and her husband Leo of Nashua and Stella Bernier of Nashua; as well as his two brothers-in-law, Maurice Bernier of Tennessee and Richard Bernier of Hudson, NH; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his wife, Roger was the oldest of five children and was predeceased by his sisters Theresa Elliot and Jeannette Grigas who passed three days prior to him, and his brother Gerard St. Laurent and his wife Yvonne.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on FRIDAY, Sept. 29th from 4 until 8 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on SATURDAY, Sept. 30th at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment and military honors to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger’s name to one’s charity of choice.
