Sarata Lokassa

NASHUA- Sarata Turay Lokassa, 56, a resident of Nashua for 18 years,  died peacefully, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Boston Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She is the beloved wife of Kassiya Lokassa.

Sarata was born in Sierra Leon, West Africa on March 27, 1961 and is the daughter of the late Mohamed and Fatima Turay.

She was employed by St. Joseph Hospital for ten years and also worked at Greenbriar Healthcare for four years.

Sarata enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved making jokes with every intention to make those around her laugh.

She is survived by her daughter , Rugi Mercier and husband Eric Mercier of Nashua, her sons, Mohamed Kargbo and his Fiancé Cecy lee Nguyen of Haverhill, MA, Ibrahim Kargbo of Nashua, Mohamed Kargbo of Nashua, grandchildren, Sierra and Alexa Mercier of Nashua, Andre Kargbo and Kiran Kargbo of Nashua, Amaiya Kargbo, Lafee Kargbo, and Jadelynn Kargbo of Haverhill. She is also survived by her sisters, Umu Kabba of Boston, MA , Dusuba Koroma Nashua, Mem Legros  of Hartford, CT, as well as her brother John Turay of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on WEDNESDAY, July 5th from 4 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on THURSDAY, July 6th at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
