Wilfred L. Belanger

NASHUA—Wilfred L. Belanger, age 91, passed away in his home on December 6, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Nashua on May 29, 1927, he was a son of the late George and Edith (Marquis) Belanger.  Wilfred was the beloved husband of Alice (Vaillancourt) Belanger, with whom he spent 63 wonderful years of marriage.

Before his retirement, Wilfred was a builder for Continental Homes.  Outside of work, he enjoyed bowling and watching football and game shows.  He was also known to go for long walks and buy scratch tickets in his free time.  Above all else though, Wilfred loved his family and cherished all the time he got to spend with them.  Wilfred was a US Army veteran.

Besides his beautiful wife, Wilfred is survived by his four sons, David Belanger and his wife Paula of Nashua, Paul Belanger and his significant other Janet Fauteux of Nashua, Michael Belanger and his significant other Rita Agrella of Nashua and Russell Belanger and his wife Melissa of Shallotte, NC; his four daughters Anne Barker and her husband Timothy of Manchester, Pauline Belanger and her significant other Rick Kienholz of Lincoln City, OR, Susan Belanger of Nashua and Danielle Belanger of Nashua; his sister, Jeanne D’Arc Vaillancourt of Nashua; his two brothers-in-law, Robert Vaillancourt and his wife Shirley of Pelham, and Lionel Vaillancourt and his significant other Carol Caron of Webster; his sister-in-law Alice Vaillancourt of Woonsocket, RI, 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wilfred was the father of the late Philip Belanger, as well as the brother of the late Roland Belanger, Armand Belanger, Robert Belanger, Maurice Belanger, Estelle Rodier, Gertrude Bechard, Rachel Bosse, Marguerite Belanger, Lorette Jette and Florette Lamothe.

Friends and family are welcome to call at the ANCTIL-ROCHETTE and SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, on Wednesday, December 12, from 4 until 7 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held at St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W. Hollis St., Nashua, on Thursday, December 13, at 10 a.m.  Burial with military honors will follow in St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Wilfred’s honor may be made to the Corpus Christy Food Pantry, 3 Crown St., Nashua, NH 03060.
