William J. Coughlin III

William J Coughlin III of Nashua passed away August 2nd following a brief illness. Bill, as he was known by co-workers and friends, and Billy by his family, began his life in Melrose, MA on May 26, 1955.  An engineer by profession, he was employed at BAE Systems for twenty-eight and a half years, having recently retired in September 2015. His previous employment had been at M/A-Com in Lowell, MA.

Bill was an active member of Nashua Elks for thirty-two years. He showed his pride for his Irish heritage as a Hibernian. As members of Sky Meadow Country Club, Bill and his wife, Eileen, spent many a day golfing on its fairways and socializing with their golf community at Sky Meadow’s 19th hole.

Bill will be remembered as a good friend, the glue who held his family together, and a loyal, loving husband. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; his parents, William and Marguerite Coughlin of Beverly, MA; two sisters: Kathleen Kalentkowski, her husband Edward, and their four children from Berlin, CT and Cheryl Coughlin and her two daughters from Concord, NH. Bill also had sisters and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews from within Eileen’s family who always considered him one of their own.Bill’s beloved brother, Matthew, predeceased him in the Summer of 2016.

There will be calling hours from 3 to 5 on August 8th at Sky Meadow Country Club 6 Mountain Laurels Drive, Nashua, followed immediately by a memorial service at that same location.
