OBITUARY—WILLIAM H. MURRAY JR.

NASHUA- William H. Murray Jr., 84, died peacefully, Friday evening, January 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. He was surrounded by his loving family. William is the beloved husband of Annette J. (Belanger) Murray.

William was born in Nashua on June 12, 1933 and was the son of the late William Sr. and Marie Antoinette (Laporte) Murray. He attended St. Patrick School as well as the Nashua School System. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy from 1951 until 1954 when he was honorably discharged. He was stationed upon the U.S.S Siboney.

For 41 years, he was employed as a dry waller for much of New England but also was employed by GL& S Construction for many years and various other companies.

William had many hobbies, including collecting Batman & Robin memorabilia as well as Mr. Peanut memorabilia. He enjoyed playing games on his computer and loved scratch tickets. In his younger years, he was a Cub Scout Leader as well as a baseball couch in Hudson. William was always joking and you would rarely see him without smile. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren who he loved to have around as much as possible. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.

In addition to his wife, Annette, he is survived by his children, William J. Murray III and his wife Tammy of Raymond, NH, Lawrence L. Murray and his wife Sylvia Wolfe of Jaffrey, NH, Lori L. Murray Bacon and her husband Jamie of Greenville, NH, and Marshall Murray of Manchester, NH. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley and Taylor Stathopoulos, Kyle Noonan and his wife Megan, Cheyenne Murray, Kelly Noonan and her husband Will Lummis, Skyler Duguie and her husband Brian, Tanner Murray, Dylan Bacon, and Kimber Bacon. William is also survived by his sister-in-law, Loretta Murray of Nashua, his brother David Murray of East Bridgewater, MA, his brother-in-law Jack Heggerty; and his niece Anne Parker and her husband Dave of Milford; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Michael, Francis, Richard, and Robert Murray as well as his sisters, Margaret Krewski, Anna Duhamel, Delia Bergeron, Jane Bonnette, and Kathy Heggerty.

At William’s request, all services were omitted. His interment will take place at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DVita Nashua at Home Dialysis Center, 38 Tyler Street, Ste 100, Nashua, NH 03060. Arrangements entrusted to the care of ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME.
