NASHUA- Yvette V. Moreau, 87, a life long resident of Nashua, died peacefully Thursday morning, February 14, 2019 at Courville Nursing Home of Nashua surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph N.M. Moreau for 59 years until his passing. Yvette was also pre-deceased by her son Paul P. Moreau.
Yvette was born in Nashua on September 29, 1931 and was the daughter of the late William Latour and Irene (Durand) Latour.
In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, and making hats for all family and friends, she was an avid Patriots fan as well as WWE wrestling, John Cena being her favorite. Yvette was a dedicated parishioner of St. Louis de Gonzague Church. She would always volunteer for their ham and bean dinners and attended mass often. Having children, Yvette was also extremely involved with Boy Scouts, she was proud of her four eagle scouts and her Gold Award scout. She looked forward to the annual Moreau family outing and above all, her time with her family was the most treasured time spent. She would affectionately be known as Memere Moreau by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, William Moreau and his wife Patricia of Chester, NH and Joseph N. Moreau of Nashua; her daughters, Claire Bishop and her husband Glenn of Craftsberry Common, VT, Connie Henderson and her husband Bill of Milford, and Michelle Plante and her husband Robert of Nashua. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Aubrey, Kierstyn, Matthew, Samuel, Zachary and Billy as well as her great-grandson, Jameson; and her sister Claire Lamb and Jeanne Desclos both of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.
Yvette’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Courville Nursing Home as well as Home, Health, and Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Yvette during her stay with them.
Relatives and friends are invited to Yvette’s visitation on MONDAY, February 18th from 4 until 7 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on TUESDAY, February 19th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua, NH. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Yvette’s name to the Employee/Activities Fund at Courville of Nashua, 22 Hunt Street, Nashua, NH, 03060.
