Beatrice Lorraine Rossiter, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Beatrice was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on May 18, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Adelard Rochette and Lauretta (Pelletier) Collette. She attended catholic elementary schools in Lowell and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. Beatrice began her career as a plant manager for Family Products, where she dedicated 15 years of service. She later began a new chapter in her professional life with the State of New Hampshire, working in the unemployment office for 18 years. Throughout her career, Beatrice was known for her strong work ethic and dedication to her responsibilities. She also worked for Accurate Printing Company and the YMCA, both in Nashua, before eventually retiring after many years in the workforce.
In her free time, Beatrice enjoyed camping, especially at Silver Sands in Chester, New Hampshire. She loved dancing, taking leisurely rides through the White Mountains, and heading to the beach, where a delicious seafood meal was always a highlight. An avid Boston sports fan, Beatrice especially loved cheering on her New England Patriots. She was also devoted to keeping up with current events, and the news could often be found playing on her television throughout the day, making her remarkably knowledgeable about world affairs. In her younger years, Beatrice earned her mixology certificate and also enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with those around her. Above all, the greatest joy in Beatrice’s life came from being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was truly her world, and the love she shared with them will be cherished always. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Beatrice was also very active within her community and treasured the many friendships she made along the way. She was a member of the Gibson Senior Center in North Conway, the Loose Ladies Club, the Skibees Restaurant where they put on holiday meals for the residents within the community, Good Morning Call, and the Dine Donates Club. She especially looked forward to her regular lunch dates with the Loose Ladies, where she enjoyed good conversation, plenty of laughter, and the companionship of dear friends. Beatrice truly enjoyed staying active and socially connected to her community.
She is survived by her two children, Cherylann Goodwin and her husband David of Woodsville, NH, and John F.K. DiRubbo of Ayer, MA; her 12 grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as Figgyme; Jennifer Pritchet, Cheryl DiRubbo, Lindsey DiRubbo Jones, Stephanie DiRubbo, Robert Kenyon, Kristenann Kenyon, John P. Kenyon, Christopher R. Kenyon, Jonathan DiRubbo, Michael DiRubbo, Derek DiRubbo and Gregory DiRubbo. She is also survived by her 20 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Sadly, in addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two children, Mark Peter DiRubbo and Anthony Mark DiRubbo; her two granddaughters, Lisa Marie DiRubbo and Kimberlyann Kenyon; as well as her great-granddaughter, Calen Faith DiRubbo; and her three siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to Beatrice’s funeral mass on SATURDAY, October 17th at 9 AM in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH 03054. Her burial will take place at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Beatrice’s name to Gibson Senior Center, P.O.
