Obituary

Brenda Rae Baker, 73, of Nashua passed away at her home unexpectedly on October 24, 2022.

Brenda was born January 13, 1949, to the late Robert and Elna (Neilsen) Daigle of Nashua, NH. She received her initial education the in the Nashua School System, and she continued to obtain several Master Degrees in Sociology and Psychology at Rivier University, Colby College, as well as attending the University of Stockholm in Sweden. Besides her native language of English, she spoke Spanish, French, and Swedish ("Svenska") well. With joy and excitement, she continued her education throughout her entire adult life because of her strong passion for learning and applying said obtained knowledge in an effective manner, always with the goal of helping others.

For the significant majority of her professional career, she was a social worker for the State of New Hampshire, working in Childcare and Family Services, a job to which she was entirely devoted. She also held a private counseling practice, as well as working at the State of Maine in Family and Youth Services. She took pleasure in assisting families during the worst of times and felt tremendous pride in helping ensure young children were set up for as much success as possible in their home environment.

In her free time, Brenda pursued many passions. She was an avid reader of many different genres of literature, knitted often, enjoyed travel, was a licensed massage therapist, and loved attending plays in the Boston Theatre District. Along with her magnetic personality, she was always compassionate to others around her, and served as a rock for many people when life became difficult. She was a loving and benevolent wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend, and will be missed greatly by anyone whose life she blessed.

Brenda is survived by her son and his fiancée, Neal Baker and Jennifer Bernier, as well as her nieces, Jennifer and Julie.

She was predeceased by her husband Barrie Robert Baker, her parents Robert and Elna Daigle, as well as her brother Kenneth Daigle.

All family and friends are invited to Brenda's visitation on Saturday, November 5 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Rochette Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations to any charity assisting children or animals would be greatly appreciated. She was especially fond of St Jude's Hospital, David's House, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the USA, as well as the New Hampshire Animal Humane Society.
