Carol A. West, 80, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Herman L. West, Sr. with whom she shared 50 years of marriage prior to his passing on June 3, 2013.

Carol was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on May 20, 1942 and was the daughter of the late James and Claire (Smith) McGuire. She received her education in the Lowell School System and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She continued her education and graduated from Tewksbury School of Nursing with her associate degree in nursing.

For many years, she was employed as a licensed practical nurse working for St. Joseph Hospital in Lowell but was also previously employed at Wang Laboratories and most recently MetLife until her retirement.

Carol loved to spend time with her family who she loved deeply. She was always so proud to be host her family for cookouts and family gatherings at her home. In her free time, she also enjoyed shopping.

She is survived by her three children, Richard West and his wife Carol of Hopkinton, Herman West Jr. and his wife Julie of Nashua, and Kelley Theriault and her husband Al of Hudson; her daughter-in-law, Heather West of San Antonio, TX; her nine grandchildren, Justin, Irelynne, Misty, Mike, Alea, Cameron, Kaitlyn, AJ, and Jaliceanna; as well as her five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Alex, Draven, Olivia, and Abigail. She is also survived by her brother George McGuire and his wife Joan of Nashua; his sister Kerry Prowker of Lowell; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Carol was predeceased by her son Kevin West; her sister, Gail Plouffe, her brother Robert McGuire, and her dog Smitty.

Relatives and friends are invited to Carol's visitation on Tuesday, November 29th from 6 until 8 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on WEDNESDAY, November 30th at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. All are invited to meet at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH on WEDNESDAY, following her mass at 1 PM for her committal prayers.
