Eleanor T. Larocque, 76, died peacefully at her home on Friday, September 9, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Roland Larocque who predeceased her in 1984.

Eleanor was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on October 23, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Russell and Annie Rose (Nahman) Smerdon. She received her education in the Lawrence School System and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.

For 33 years, she was employed by the Lawrence School System as cafeteria staff until her retirement.

In her free time, Eleanor loved collecting interesting things and unique items. She especially loved to watch old movies on VHS. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family who she loved dearly.

Eleanor is survived by her two children, Laura Larocque of New Bloomfield, Missouri and Larry Larocque of Nashua, NH, her five grandchildren, Billy, Richard, Tabatha, Russell, and Brandon; as well as her 5 great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Emily, Martha, Laylon and Logan. She is also survived by her three siblings, Bobby, Johnny, and Mary Smerdon and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Roland Larocque, her sister Betsy Arvakian and her brother Earland Smerdon.

She will also be sadly missed by Buddha Larocque, her loyal dog of 13 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to Eleanor's visitation on TUESDAY, September 20th from 5 until 8 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21st  at 10:30AM. Her burial will be held privately.
