Obituary

Frederick H. Tappan Jr., 58, passed away on the 21st of March, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua surrounded by his loving family.

Frederick was born in Nashua on June 14, 1963, the son of Edith Mae (Durant) Cummings, Roni Brunner-Cummings (Step-Mother), Frederick H. Tappan Sr., and Arthur L. Cummings (Step-Father). He received his education in the Merrimack School System and was a graduate of Merrimack High.  Frederick served in the US Army as a calibration specialist from May 28, 1982 until August 1986.  He completed his associates degree from Rivier University.

For over 30 years, Frederick was employed as a facilities manager for Rivier University until his retirement. Freddy cared for everyone more than he cared for himself; He was the kind of man who constantly surprised you. One minute he would be talking about the student who pee'd on the other students door, Then his eyes would light up and he'd talk about his granddaughter Erion, who he cherished saying "I think she's going to run the world. You know women are the future". Then he would just get up and leave. Classic Freddy.. Totally cringeworthy then truly and unassumingly insightful.

Frederick was predeceased by his son, Arend J. Tappan and his three siblings, Cheryl, Stacy, Jocko and their beloved grandmother Adeline Petuck. He is survived by his two children, Meghan Tappan and her significant other Brian Allen of Milford and Tyren Tappan and his fiancé Kellie Cholette of Pembroke; his granddaughter Erion Allen; His seven siblings, Gale and husband James Longden Sr., Allison Tappan and husband Jeff, Samantha Cummings, Krissy Cummings, Brynja "Bugg" and husband Matt Eosue, Molly Cummings, Katy and husband Alex Bush. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Bruce, Selina, Krys and Anthony; his uncle Joe and wife Silvia Petuck, Aunt Francine and husband Bob Durant and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
